Team Direct Energie has been a fixture in the pro peloton dating back to its founding in 2000. The long-standing UCI Pro Continental Team has gone through a few memorable name changes: Bonjour, La Boulangère, Bouygues, Europcar and now as Direct Energie, the team looks poised to have its best season to date. Led by Dutch powerhouse and reigning Tour of Flanders winner, Niki Terpstra, the 2019 roster will compete in the Spring Classics for a chance at adding a monument to the trophy case. Last year the team continued the legacy of their former star Thomas Voeckler by riding the Tour de France with panache; look for the Vendée-based team to once again animate their native Grand Tour in July.
