ROKA is honored to announce our partnership with Aventon Factory Team, the world’s top fixed gear criterium racing team.
Aventon Factory Team was formed in 2015 with the goal of becoming the world’s top fixed gear race team. The Team quickly realized its goal, winning races everywhere from Los Angeles to Italy in its first year. They ascended to the top of the sport with last year’s Red Hook Crit series victories in both the the men’s and women’s fields.
Team riders will wear various styles of ultralight ROKA eyewear throughout the 2018 season, beginning on April 28th when they line up at Red Hook Crit Brooklyn Number 11, the original and one of the most prestigious fixed gear races in the world. In addition to competing in Brooklyn, Aventon Factory Team will follow the series to Europe to contend for the 2018 overall title.

Returning to Team Aventon to defend last year’s Red Hook title are 2017 women’s individual champion Eléonore Saraiva (FRA), Esther Walker (USA) and Kym Perfetto (USA). The women’s squad has also added former world champion rower Lisa Worner (NED). The men’s team for 2018 will consist of Tristan Uhl (USA), David Santos (USA), Isaac Howe (USA) Olivier Leroy (FRA) and Chris Tolley (USA). The team is helmed by veteran racer and coach Sean Burke.

Aventon Factory Team came into being from a pure love for cycling, a passion for racing and the desire to compete at the highest level in a bold raw format. These athletes wanted to try something that no one had done before.
ROKA has approached much of it’s product design the exact same way. It’s precision and passion and bold all out effort to create the purest performance design possible. On the surface, these races can look like chaos. Beneath the surface, fixed gear crit racing is precision, strategy, and the ultimate expression of personal riding style.
